About Me
Welcome! My name is Abbey Turner, and I am a photographer, visual artist, and creative based out of Toledo, Ohio. I graduated from The Ohio State University with my Bachelors of Fine Arts and a focus in photography, all while growing my business for the last 5 years. My preschool teacher would tell you that I would refuse to leave the arts and crafts table, and it has been my life’s work and passion ever since. I am professionally trained in both digital and analogue photography, as well as darkroom and 4x5 processes. I am Midwestern born and raised, as you will see a large influence of American youth culture, rich rustbelt landscapes, and soulful vintage imagery in my work.
I love my clients and strive to give them timeless, unique images that capture emotion, light, and the unparalleled beauty I see in everyday life. There is nothing more gratifying to me than watching my clients light up after seeing my work. My process is experimental in nature as I find the most joy out of pushing creativity, vibrant color, and nuance ideas through my work. When I don’t have my camera in hand, you can catch me with my headphones in listening to Lana Del Rey, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, shopping for yet another pair of eccentric shoes, or making the most of our Midwestern seasons by snowboarding and rollerblading.
